Job summary

Abbott in Ireland is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the RTR team at the Cherrywood Shared Services Centre, Loughlinstown, Co Dublin. The role reports to the RTR Manager and offers exposure to European markets with outsourced partners, driving process improvements in a dynamic multinational environment.

The candidate will contribute to monthly closes, reconciliations and audits, working with cross-functional teams and a strong emphasis on initiative and independence.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• 2-3 years post-qualified experience; multisite/SSC background preferred.
• Strong initiative in change management and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Monthly US GAAP close activities leadership.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and journals with high-quality compliance.
• Lead quarterly Balance Sheet Reviews for divisions/entities.
• Complete SOX controls as per control matrix.
• Collaborate with outsourced business partner.
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and provide needed support.
• Ensure timely completion of internal and external audits.
• Identify process improvements and lead related projects.
• Undertake other ad-hoc activities as required.
