Duffy Alexander Recruitment is partnering with a Cork hospital to appoint a Senior Respiratory Physiologist on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension. The role covers a broad range of non-invasive and invasive respiratory diagnostics, requiring accurate reporting and clinical collaboration.

Applicants should hold a BSc in Clinical Measurement (or equivalent Level 8) and have at least 3 years of post-graduate experience with IICMP registration and eligibility to work in

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Clinical Measurement (Level 8) from Dublin Institute of Technology / TU Dublin or equivalent, confirmed by IICMP.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant post-graduation experience.
• IICMP registration and eligibility to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Conduct non-invasive tests such as spirometry and lung volumes by dilution/plethysmography.
• Carry out bronchodilator response testing and diffusion capacity assessments.
• Administer sleep studies (polysomnography) and CPAP titration as required.
• Report results and highlight abnormalities to the clinical team.
• Support invasive testing like CPET and bronchoprovocation as appropriate.

Senior Respiratory Physiologist I am partnering with a leading Cork Hospital to appoint a Senior Respiratory Physiologist to their team. This role will be offered as a 12 month FTC initially with a potential for extension. Sample Duties: non-invasive standard respiratory diagnostic testing to include: Spirometry Lung volumes by Gas Dilution Lung Volume by Body Plethysmography Bronchodilator Response testing Diffusion capacity Tests of respiratory muscle function including SNIP, MIP & MEP FeNO invasive respiratory diagnostic testing to include: Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing Bronchoprovocation challenges Skin Allergy Tests sleep studies to include: Polysomnography CPAP titration studies The reporting of all tests results including highlighting any abnormal results. Requirements: BSc in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology / Technological University Dublin Or An equivalent level 8 degree confirmed by IICMP. A minimum of 3 years relevant post graduation experience IICMP Registration. Permission to live and work in Ireland as the urgency of this role will prevent the processing of Work Permits / Visas.
