Job summary

PE Global Healthcare in Cork is seeking a Respiratory Physiologist to join a leading healthcare provider. You will perform and report on Pulmonary Function Tests and set up at-home sleep studies, delivering high-quality respiratory diagnostics.

The role requires 1–2 years post-qualification experience, an appropriate physiologist degree or MPPM, and excellent patient-focused communication and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Requires Physiologist/Clinical Measurement degree or MPPM certificate from a recognised institution.
• 1–2 years post-qualification experience as a Respiratory Physiologist in a hospital setting.
• Proven experience performing and reporting autonomously on PFTs.
• Experience setting up and scoring at-home sleep studies.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.

PE Global Healthcare is currently recruiting a Respiratory Physiologist for a leading healthcare provider in Cork. Key Responsibilities

• Perform and independently report on Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs).
• Set up and score at-home sleep studies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred respiratory diagnostic services.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

• A Physiologist/Clinical Measurement degree or equivalent, or a Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology (or equivalent).
• 1–2 years’ post-qualification experience as a Respiratory Physiologist in a hospital setting.
• Proven experience performing and reporting autonomously on Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs).
• Experience setting up and scoring at-home sleep studies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong awareness of, and sensitivity to, patient needs.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• The ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and build positive working relationships internally and externally.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
