We are currently recruiting a Respiratory Physiologist for a hospital in Cork, Ireland. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with a multidisciplinary team and modern cardiac facilities, offering career progression and CPD support. Applicants should be eligible to work in Ireland.

Qualifications

• Hold a Physiologist/Clinical Measurement degree or equivalent recognised by IICMS.
• Hold the MPPM qualification from Dublin Institute of Technology or an equivalent qualification confirmed by IICMS.
• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience as a Respiratory Technician/Respiratory Physiologist in an acute hospital setting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong awareness of and sensitivity to patient needs.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a high-volume workload and prioritise effectively.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with colleagues both within and outside the organisation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of respiratory and pulmonary function tests in accordance with established clinical protocols.
• Conduct respiratory assessments and physiological measurements, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
• Prepare patients for respiratory investigations and explain procedures clearly to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to any concerns or changes in their condition.
• Analyse and interpret respiratory test results and prepare accurate clinical reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation.
