Roughan & O’Donovan is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer for an approximately 18‑month fixed-term contract in the Cork area. The role involves joining the site supervision team to deliver bridge construction and road diversion projects in County Cork, monitoring daily operations, inspections, tests, and compliance with HSE, quality, and environmental standards within a live railway environment.

The candidate will assist the resident engineer, review submissions and plans, ensure contract

Qualifications

Experience implementing quality control procedures on site and maintaining accurate records and claims.
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications accurately.
Experience supervising civil works on live projects and coordinating with design teams.

Responsabilités

Assist the project resident engineer in performing duties.
Monitor execution of works per contract requirements.
Review method statements, temporary traffic management, and environmental plans.
Review technical queries and liaise with design team on design-related matters.
Implement quality control procedures and maintain records and claims.
