Job summary

University College Dublin invites applications for a temporary post of Research Senior Administrator within the School of Mathematics and Statistics/Aimsir Centre. The role supports day-to-day operations, coordinating schedules and facilitating communications for a nationwide citizen-science weather sensor network across 560 post-primary schools in Ireland.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' professional or customer services experience in a large organisation or third-level institution.
• Able to support and guide students, faculty and staff and engage with other support services as needed.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Good IT literacy across Microsoft Office applications and video conferencing/ calendar tools.
• Experience in higher education, research, or scientific organisations.
• Familiarity with UCD administrative and financial software systems (e.g., InfoHub, Banner, Salesforce, Workday, CoreHR).

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day administrative functions of the School and Centre.
• Coordinate schedules and assist with internal and external communications.
• Support logistical delivery of the nationwide citizen-scScience weather sensor network across Ireland.
• Work with the School Manager, Centre Director, Research Programme Manager and Logistics Lead to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with other School activities as needed.
