Job summary

University College Dublin is seeking a temporary Senior Administrator to join the School of Mathematics and Statistics/Aimsir Centre. The role focuses on day-to-day operations, coordinating schedules, and supporting communications for a national citizen-science weather sensor network.

The successful candidate will report to the School Manager and collaborate with the Centre Director and Programme Manager to ensure efficient administrative services across research, training, and outreach

Qualifications

2-3 years' professional or customer services experience in a large organisation or third level institution.
Ability to provide support and guidance to students, faculty and staff.
Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and video conferencing tools.
Experience working in higher education, research, or a scientific organisation.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day administrative functions of the AIMSIR Centre.
Coordinate schedules and assist with internal and external communications.
Support the logistical delivery of a nationwide citizen-science weather sensor network.
Work closely with the School Manager, Centre Director and Programme Manager to ensure smooth operations.
