Job summary

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of wholesale banking, capital markets and EBA prudential regulations.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects and regulatory exams.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Regulatory Relations with daily tasks and regulatory projects.
  • Manage regulatory filings: respond, record, track, monitor and report information promptly.
  • Update governance materials ahead of committee meetings.
  • Execute end-to-end regulatory engagements from planning to reporting.
  • Coordinate OSI inspections, deep-dives, thematic assessments and remediation efforts.
  • Organize OSI logistics and prepare SMEs; document meeting evidence.
  • Support remediation and regulatory findings management processes.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders locally and globally.

Job Description:

Department Overview:

The mandate of the TD Compliance Department is to manage compliance risk across TD globally to align with the policies established and approved by the TD Board of Directors’ Audit and Risk Committees. It is the Compliance Department’s responsibility, as proactive and trusted advisors to the respective business lines, to drive a consistent, adaptable and effective culture across the organization so that compliance risks are appropriately mitigated. Compliance Department is a second line of defence function with key framework pillars of oversight, monitoring, escalation, advisory, regulatory change and regulatory engagement.

The TDGF Compliance Department via the Regulatory Relations Team is responsible for managing all regulatory relationships and for ensuring senior management are made aware of key risks emanating from regulatory engagement.

Job Description / Accountabilities:

This role will be an integral part of the TDGF Compliance Function. This role-holder will be responsible for activities including the provision of regulatory responses, management of regulatory exams and associated findings/issues management processes and any other compliance projects and tasks as needed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the Head of Regulatory Relations with daily tasks and ad-hoc Compliance Function and regulatory driven projects and initiatives;
  • Management of regulatory filings by responding, recording, tracking, monitoring and reporting of requests for information in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Responsible for updating governance materials ahead of committee meetings;
  • Execute the full life-cycle of regulatory engagements from planning through to reporting and driving continuous improvements;
  • Adhere with Supervisory Priorities and the Annual Supervisory Engagement Plan including management of On-Site inspections (OSI's), Deep-Dives, Thematic Assessments and RMP Issues Management processes;
  • Support OSI's; organize logistics and prepare SME's; document evidence of meetings/workshops;
  • Support remediation and regulatory findings issues management process;
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders locally and globally.

Educational Requirements / Accreditations / Other Qualifications / Skills / Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated relevant experience in the industry with compliance, risk management and regulatory engagement exposure preferred.
  • Strong understanding of European regulators as a significant institution under the Single Supervisory Mechanism including the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), European Central Bank (ECB), the Single Resolution Board (SRB) and the Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA).
  • Knowledge of wholesale banking, capital markets and EBA prudential regulations.
  • Proven experience of managing large-scale projects, e.g.
  • regulatory exams conducted by global regulators
  • regulatory findings and issues management process
  • Ability to work as a team and independently.
  • Prioritizing to manage tasks efficiently and time.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MS product suite and project management tools.
  • Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland (ACOI) accreditation preferred.
  • Audit experience a plus.
  • Project Management experience a plus.
