Job Description:

Global Corporate Lending & Trade Finance Operations are part of Global Operations, supporting high value corporate and institutional clients across loan servicing and trade finance activities. The team operates in a dynamic, control-focused environment and is responsible for delivering high-quality service, managing operational and financial risk, and supporting complex transactions across global markets. We are seeking a collaborative, client-focused and forward-thinking professional who can perform across both lending and trade finance functions while contributing to service excellence, risk discipline and continuous improvement.

Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for servicing a portfolio of high-value corporate and institutional clients across Corporate Lending and Trade Finance Operations, ensuring operational accuracy, timely execution, strong risk management and a high standard of client service.

The successful candidate will be required to:
  • Apply advanced Corporate Lending and Trade Finance knowledge to service a portfolio of high-value corporate and institutional clients accurately, within required timelines, and in line with policies, procedures and regulatory expectations.
  • Act as a key operational point of contact for clients, front office, legal, and internal and external partners, supporting effective relationship management and timely resolution of enquiries.
  • Review, authorize and perform secondary checks on transactions as required, including end-of-day controls, discrepancy resolution and maintenance of an accurate portfolio.
  • Interpret lending agreements, trade finance documentation, ICC rules and internal policies to support sound decision‑making and protect the Bank's interests.
  • Identify, escal… and support resolution of complex, non‑standard or higher‑risk transactions, including potential AML, sanctions, operational or reputational concerns.
  • Contribute to process improvement, automation, procedure documentation and knowledge sharing, while supporting a collaborative team environment focused on service, accountability and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in Corporate Lending Operations, Trade Finance Operations or a comparable banking operations environment with strong operational, financial control and risk management requirements.
  • Experience supporting high-value clients and managing relationships in a control‑focused environment, with strong verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative work style.
  • Ability to read, review and interpret lending agreements, trade finance instruments, legal documentation and operational procedures.
  • Working knowledge of lending and/or trade finance processing, including deal set‑up, transaction processing, repayments, fees, guarantees, standby letters of credit and related servicing activities.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and elevate issues appropriately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant operational systems; experience with LoanIQ, trade finance systems, mainframe applications, reporting tools, or relevant professional certifications is an asset.
Other Qualifications / Skills / Experience
  • Client‑facing experience in wholesale banking, corporate lending, trade finance or a comparable environment is an asset.
  • Experience reading legal and operational documentation is an asset.
  • Knowledge of ICC rules, trade finance practices and complex transaction structures is an asset.
