Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Dublin is seeking a Major Projects Director to lead multi-disciplinary rail transportation projects from concept through detailed design into construction. You will join the Rail Transportation team at Director level and drive delivery in a collaborative, client-focused environment. The role demands Chartered Engineer status, extensive consultancy experience, and proven leadership of design teams and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering (level 8/9).
• Postgraduate consultancy experience.
• Chartered with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.
• Diverse infrastructure project delivery experience in Ireland/UK/Europe.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary design teams and engage clients.

Responsibilities

• Major Projects Director role on multi-disciplinary transportation projects.
• Project Manager or Project Director role on major railway infrastructure projects.
• Contract/Commercial management ownership.
• Liaising with Engineering Directors/Managers to manage the design process.
• Line management and mentoring of senior staff including Senior Project Managers.
• Developing tender proposals, leading bids and winning new commissions.
