Job summary

Real, a global medical device company, is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to join the research & development team on a 12‑month contract based in Limerick. The role involves product testing, design of experiments, TMV, test protocols, and working with syringe/PFS products.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical, material science or biomedical engineering background, at least 5 years of R&D experience in medical devices, familiarity with ISO 80369/11040, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in an R&D role for medical devices.
• Experience with syringe/PFS/pre-filled syringes products.
• Understanding regulatory requirements for medical devices (ISO 80369 / 11040).
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

A global medical device company are looking for a Senior R&D Engineer to join their research & development team on a contract basis. The purpose of the role is to help with their product testing, design of experiments and TMV, test protocols, for a selection of products. For this role you will need experience having worked with syringe / pre-filled syringes / PFS type products.

Requirements

• Mechanical engineering, Material Science, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent degree
• Experience working as a R&D Engineer on medical device products
• Minimum 5 years experience
• Experience working with syringe products / PFS / Pre filled syringes, ISO 80369 / 11040
• Understanding regulatory requirements
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

The start date is for ASAP/October. The initial contract length is for 12 months, with multiple extension options after. The role is based in Limerick and will require 3 days onsite per week, the rest of the work can be done remotely. The rate is between €40 - €55 per hour depending on experience.
