Job summary

Brightpath Recruitment is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major Meath project. The role involves direct reporting to the commercial manager and oversight of cost reporting, procurement, and commercial matters on a large-scale schools project.

The ideal candidate will have a Quantity Surveying qualification, a minimum of 10 years in a similar role, and strong communication and time management skills to drive project budgets and variations.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years in a similar role.
• Excellent written, verbal & communication skills.
• Ability to work on large scale projects.
• Excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the commercial manager.
• Assisting with project cash management.
• Preparing and reviewing monthly cost reports.
• General administration of main and subcontracts.
• Management of commercial and contractual matters.
• Procurement of sub-contracts and suppliers.
• Identify, measure, price negotiate & agree budgets and cost variations.
• Liaise with accounts department, commercial manager & contracts manager.
• Assist with the mentoring of junior quantity surveyors.
• Advise and support with project correspondence.
