Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants in Athlone, Ireland, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost control and commercial oversight for residential and commercial projects across the West/Midlands, starting with a renovation and extension of a protected structure into apartments.

You will mentor junior surveyors, prepare contract docs (PWC, RIAI), manage subcontractor tenders and payment certificates, and drive procurement strategies while ensuring ISO and IMS compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying with 5+ years of main contracting experience.
• Strong commercial management and contract administration (PWC, RIAI).
• Excellent negotiation and leadership abilities.
• Proficient in Excel; knowledge of Cubit, Procore and Asta is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost control and financial oversight across multiple projects.
• Prepare contract docs, subcontractor packages, and payment certs.
• Direct procurement strategy and supplier term negotiations.
• Conduct site valuations and ensure ISO/IMS compliance.
• Provide monthly cost reporting and alignment with project milestones.
