Vickerstock, partnering with an Irish Tier 2 main contractor, invites applications for a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Galway. You will lead the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, preparing budgets, forecasts and reports while driving value and profitability.

You'll develop procurement strategies, manage subcontractor negotiations, and mentor junior QS staff while collaborating with project teams to resolve commercial issues and maintain project

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline.
• Significant experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally with a main contractor.
• Experience managing commercial aspects from procurement to final account.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, procurement, subcontract management and risk.
• Experience negotiating variations and managing final accounts.
• Excellent financial analysis, forecasting, reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and QS software Cubit, CostX or Buildsoft.
• Valid Safe Pass card.
• Leadership and ability to mentor junior staff.

• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts.

• Manage variations and contractual changes and recover costs.
• Negotiate variations, interim valuations and final accounts with key parties.
• Work with project managers and site teams to resolve commercial issues.
• Mentor junior Quantity Surveyors within the team.
• Attend commercial and project review meetings with updates on financials and risks.
