Job summary

DesignBuild Search are working with a tier 1 contractor seeking a Quantity Surveyor for projects across Dublin including commercial, residential, industrial and hotel sectors. This is an opportunity to work on prestigious schemes while partnering with industry leaders.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying, at least 3 years post-qualification experience, and at least 3 years with a main contractor.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
• 3+ years post college experience
• 3+ years with a main contractor

Responsibilities

• Post tender and pre contract activities: familiarisation with the tender file and assisting with preparing commercial targets for the project.
• During the contract period: procurement of subcontractors, attending pre-award meetings, documentation and schedules, applications, variation schedules, measurement, controlling accounts, payments, in-house reports, contractual correspondence and final account.
• During the post contract period: finalize subcontractor accounts and complete all filing and other documentation.
• Integrate the commercial strategy, amending to suit project as it develops.
• Liaise with & commercially influence/challenge the other members of the team and the construction process.
