Job summary

Dornan Engineering Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a data centre project in Dublin West. The role combines hands-on commercial management with client-facing duties, requiring strong cost control and on-site measurement.

Responsibilities include tender validation, cash flow, interim valuations, monthly reporting, and change control, with opportunities to lead projects and train junior QS staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in a commercial role.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Data Centre/Industrial sector experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Validate tender following award with PM/Director.
• Prepare CCS and update regularly in consultation with PM/Director.
• Prepare cash flow by analysing timing of billings and costs.
• Carry out monthly measures and interim valuations for labour, materials and equipment.
• Attend monthly commercial and subcontractor meetings and draft correspondence.
• Identify budget scope changes and manage client invoicing/submissions.
