Job summary

GMC Utilities Group in Ireland seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and support delivery across civil and utilities projects from a construction perspective.

The role requires a minimum 10 years in QS within construction or utilities, a professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, and strong knowledge of NEC contracts and Microsoft Office. You will manage budgets, costs, variations, and reporting while mentoring junior surveyors.

Qualifications

• Civils, drainage, or utilities experience essential.
• 10+ years in QS within construction or utilities.
• Qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying commercial risks and opportunities and carry out value engineering.
• Prepare and manage material procurement schedules and cost reports.
• Maintain contractual notifications, change control and records for awareness.
• Prepare internal cost/value reports for upper management and other departments.
• Review and update risk registers, variation trackers and EOT trackers monthly.
