Job summary

Global Professional Consultants seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Cork to oversee civil infrastructure and marine/renewable projects. You will advise on contractual matters, manage claims, and drive commercial performance across multiple sites.

With 5+ years’ experience in Ireland or the UK, you will coordinate subcontractor engagements, prepare cost reports, and ensure timely final accounts, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety in delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience on civil engineering projects in Ireland or the UK.
• Must hold a Construction or Quantity Surveying qualification.
• Ability to meet demanding time and quality targets with good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise on contractual matters at general and project level.
• Process contractual claims and related records.
• Maximise revenue and identify cost reductions; investigate losses.
• Assist with project cash management and correspondence.
• Negotiate and agree subcontractors and suppliers' terms.
• Ensure final accounts are closed timely.
• Prepare and review monthly cost reports and variation trackers.
