Job summary

Vision Built, a Sisk Company, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our residential and commercial construction teams in Ireland. You will work within a collaborative commercial group to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This role involves tender preparation, forecasting, client liaison, and ensuring accurate final accounts. Strong communication and a relevant third-level qualification are essential, with experience in site-based commercial management preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential and commercial construction.
• Experience in forecast planning and client engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing tenders, analysing subcontractors, negotiations, and finalising orders.
• Managing forecasts, site records, variation reporting, valuations, and final accounts.
• Liaising with site management to protect commercial entitlement.
• Overseeing QS team work and sign-off on measurements.

Working alongside an extensively experienced commercial team you will beworking within & assisting the team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships, maximising commercial returns and managing risk.

Responsibilities

• Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate s/cs, negotiation & finalise s/c orders, financial & commercial management of s/cs to Final Account completion.
• Managing and reporting of forecasts, target, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in the site records & document control
• Liaisingwith & commercially influence/challenge site management team whilst maintaining & protecting JSS commercial & contractual entitlement
• Managing& overseeing AQS & TQS, checking & taking responsibility for their work & sign-off SMM/measurement issues

Experience

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential/commercial construction projects
• Experience in report writing, forecast planning and engaging with clients and senior leaders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• A relevant 3rd level qualification
