Job summary

Vision Built, a Sisk Company, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support residential and commercial construction projects. You will work with an experienced commercial team to prepare tenders, analyse subcontractors, negotiate and finalise orders, and manage financial and commercial aspects toward Final Account closure.

The role requires forecasting and reporting, site recordkeeping, variation reporting, valuations, and close collaboration with site management to protect commercial entitlement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential/commercial construction projects.
• Experience in report writing, forecast planning and engaging with clients and senior leaders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A relevant 3rd level qualification.

Responsibilities

• Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate subcontractors, negotiating & finalising subcontract orders, and managing financial & commercial aspects to Final Account.
• Managing and reporting forecasts, reconciliations, site records, and document control, including variation reporting and valuations.

Working alongside an extensively experienced commercial team you will be working within & assisting the team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships, maximising commercial returns and managing risk.

• Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate s/cs, negotiation & finalise s/c orders, financial & commercial management of s/cs to Final Account completion.
• Managing and reporting of forecasts, target, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in the site records & document control
• Liaising with & commercially influence/challenge site management team whilst maintaining & protecting JSS commercial & contractual entitlement
• Managing & overseeing AQS & TQS, checking & taking responsibility for their work & sign-off SMM/measurement issues
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential/commercial construction projects
• Experience in report writing, forecast planning and engaging with clients and senior leaders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A relevant 3rd level qualification
