Elk Recruitment in Blanchardstown, Dublin, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading electrical contractor. You will lead commercially on major electrical projects, from tender to final account, ensuring value, risk management and strong client relationships.

The role requires extensive QS experience within electrical/MEP contracting, with a focus on cost control, procurement and contract management. A competitive package and clear career progression are on offer.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Quantity Surveyor in electrical/MEP contracting.
• Proven experience managing large-value projects.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, procurement and cost control.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field; chartered status is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of electrical projects from start to finish.

• Prepare and manage valuations, variations and final accounts.

Senior Quantity Surveyor – Electrical Contractor

We are looking for an experiencedSenior Quantity Surveyorto join a well-establishedElectrical Contractorbased inBlanchardstown, Dublin.

This is a senior commercial role with responsibility for the financial and commercial management of major electrical projects from tender through to final account.

The Role

• Manage the commercial aspects of electrical projects from start to finish
• Cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting
• Manage subcontractor and supplier accounts
• Prepare and manage valuations, variations and final accounts
• Procurement and contract management
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities
• Work closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, clients and subcontractors
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed budgets and commercial targets

Requirements

• Strong experience as aQuantity Surveyor, ideally within an electrical/MEP contracting environment
• Proven experience managing large-value projects
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement and cost control
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline
• Chartered or working towards chartership is an advantage
