Job summary

Alexion Pharma Spain S.L. is seeking an Associate Director, Quality Project Governance (12 months fixed term) in Blanchardstown, Dublin, Ireland.

The role provides strategic leadership for a robust Project Governance Program across the Quality organisation, driving governance standards, risk mitigation, and alignment of major projects with enterprise priorities. You will lead governance design, PMO oversight, and data‑driven decision support, while promoting digital project management enablement

Qualifications

• Degree in science, engineering, business, information systems, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of project and programme management experience in a GMP pharma/biopharma environment, including supervisory/management experience.
• Strong knowledge of governance, PMO operating models, resource allocation, and cross-functional leadership.
• Experience working in a matrixed organisation and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics, data-driven decision support, and governance KPI tracking.

Responsibilities

• Governance Framework Establishment: design, deploy, and maintain a standardised governance framework defining decision rights and escalation.
• End-to-End Project Delivery Oversight (PMO): oversee major project lifecycles, manage scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Risk-Based Decision Support: provide integrated risk insights to steering committees using analytics and dashboards.
• Digital Project Management Enablement: champion Smartsheet and AI-enabled dashboards to automate reporting and enhance portfolio visibility.
• Capability Building and Change Adoption: train teams and drive adoption of governance practices across projects.
• Performance Measurement and Continuous Improvement: track KPIs and improve delivery predictability.
