Job summary

HRM Search Partners is assisting a food manufacturing client in the Midlands to appoint an experienced Quality Manager. You will lead the day-to-day Quality Assurance team and partner with Production to uphold food safety, quality standards and compliance across the site.

You will develop and sustain HACCP, TACCP, VACCP systems, drive audit readiness for BRCGS and customer audits, manage non-conformances and supplier quality, and coach staff to build capability and engagement on the factory

Qualifications

• Strong Quality / Technical management experience within food manufacturing.
• Demonstrable people leadership and team development capability.
• Experience in high-volume and preferably automated manufacturing environments.
• Strong audit and compliance experience including BRCGS and food safety management systems.
• Sound working knowledge of HACCP, TACCP, VACCP and related systems.
• Experience managing customer complaints, non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Experience managing supplier quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day Quality Assurance team, setting clear priorities and ensuring appropriate Quality coverage across production.
• Provide visible, practical Quality leadership on the factory floor, collaborating with Production to maintain food safety and product standards.
• Maintain and develop food safety and quality systems (HACCP, TACCP, VACCP) and ensure GMP, hygiene and allergen controls.
• Manage quality documentation, traceability and calibration systems to an auditable standard, and escalate issues as needed.
• Support internal, customer, regulatory and BRCGS audits; maintain ongoing audit readiness.
• Manage audit findings and non-conformances through root-cause investigation and corrective action.
• Manage customer complaints and supplier quality in partnership with internal stakeholders; represent Quality with external customers.
