Job summary

Next Generation is seeking a Quality Manager for a leading Irish food company with manufacturing sites across Ireland and the UK. You will join the site’s technical team, owning audit readiness, customer specifications and complaint investigations, and leading the Technical and QC team in a fast-paced production environment.

You will champion regulatory and customer standards, strengthen the Food Safety Management System and collaborate with DAFM.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, GMP and EU food safety regulations.
• Experience managing audits and liaising with regulators and customers.
• Proven track record in food safety compliance and quality systems management.
• Confident leading investigations and driving corrective actions to closure.
• QQI Level 6 Advanced HACCP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion and maintain compliance with regulatory, BRCGS, TFMS, MPQAS and customer standards.
• Support and strengthen the Food Safety Management System, ensuring it stays effective.
• Work closely with DAFM representatives, attending weekly meetings and resolving issues promptly.
• Support traceability programme, ensuring timely and accurate responses to customer requests.
• Prepare for and support audits, keeping the site audit-ready at all times.
• Manage and maintain customer product specifications, including through the group specification system.
• Work with commercial, sales and production teams to develop specifications for new products.
• Monitor and report on customer KPIs, driving corrective actions where needed.
• Lead investigations into customer complaints, with robust RCA and CAPA.
• Drive excellence in handling internal and external non-conformances.
• Support, guide and mentor Technical and QC team members.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the site.
