Job summary

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) in Ireland is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our autonomous Agile teams. You will help design, develop and maintain automated testing frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery and rapid release cycles across our learning platform.

Collaborating with developers, delivery leads, UI/UX and DevOps, you will extend testing tools, write maintainable automation code (JS or Java) and drive the quality agenda, aiming for robust test coverage, faster

Qualifications

5+ years of solid experience in developing test automation frameworks from scratch.
At least 2 years experience working in an agile environment within a development team.
Experience with source control tools like Git.
Strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery concepts.
A good understanding of the basic architecture of a modern web application (Microservices/SOA).

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality test automation.
Collaborate with developers, delivery leads, UI/UX/Architecture teams to deliver high-quality software in a continuous delivery environment.
Write high-quality maintainable test automation code (JS or Java).
Extend automation frameworks and ensure adequate test coverage, reliability and speed of execution.
Drive the quality agenda in your team and mentor teammates.
Engage in build pipeline/DevOps activities and internal DevOps enablement.
