Job summary

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt is seeking a Staff Quality Engineer to partner with front-end teams to advance UI testing strategy and tooling within our React-based monorepo. You will drive quality across production deployments and help scale our CI/CD pipelines for rapid delivery.

Based in Ireland, you will guide teams, advocate best practices, and shape test strategies to ensure robust, maintainable code in a fast-paced development environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with front-end testing tools and UI automation.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern web app testing approaches.
• Experience developing test strategies for teams or multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Guide front-end teams in following UI testing strategy and extend it.
• Develop and evolve CI/CD tooling and processes for rapid production deployments.
• Deliver high-quality code to production frequently while maintaining quality standards.
• Advise on testing approaches (TDD/BDD) and testing tools integration.
