Job summary

The Citco Group Limited is seeking a Senior QA Analyst to join our IT QA team in Ireland. You will develop and execute manual test strategies for Temenos T24 Payments and Treasury, working with SMEs and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery.

You will guide SIT and UAT activities, mentor junior testers, and help define testing best practices across agile and waterfall processes. Strong experience in financial services QA and automation will be valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences or related field.
• ISTQB Software Testing Foundation Certification preferred.
• 5+ years QA/Testing experience in a Financial Services environment, with some leadership of a testing team.
• Experience with Temenos T24 Core banking platform.
• Experience in Treasury areas (Forex, Money Market, NDF, Netting, Securities, Cash Management) and Payments (ISO20022, SWIFT, SEPA, Instant Payments).
• Experience with Jira, Xray and Confluence.
• Knowledge of automating test cases and strong SDLC/QA process background.

• Define test strategies for projects as a Senior QA Analyst.
• Focus on Temenos T24 Payments and Treasury testing.
• Coordinate SIT/UAT testing and mentor junior testers.
• Guide SIT/UAT teams on test approaches and testing tools.
• Prioritize test scripts and troubleshoot automation issues.
• Maintain QA procedures, best practices and defect management.
• Collaborate with Global QA, development, BA and other IT groups.
• Develop and review manual test scripts for scalability and quality.
• Produce test plans and QA status reports, review UAT results.
• Communicate progress to QA Lead/Manager and PM.

Your Role

• The successful candidate will play a key role in the creation and execution of manual tests required to validate the quality of the applications under test working closely with SMEs and work stream leads from the relevant business functional areas to meet their requirements.
• As a Senior QA Analyst, your role includes working closely with multiple stakeholders to define suitable test strategies based on the characteristics of the individual projects.
• Large amounts of testing will relate to Temenos T24 system with a primary focus on Payments and Treasury.
• This role will require some co-ordination and support to SIT and UAT test teams to ensure testing processes and procedures are followed as well as mentoring junior testers.
• You will be required to guide SIT and UAT teams on test approaches and the use of suitable testing tools for testing cycles (Confluence, Jira and Xray).
• Appropriate prioritization of test scripts and assist in trouble shooting issues arising from automated script runs.
• The QA team are part of a team of IT professionals that are responsible for the development and support of IT applications with a mix of agile and waterfall processes.
• The candidate will interact closely with multiple teams such as Global Citco QA team, development and business analysts, and other technical groups and resources within Citco.
• Creation, maintenance, optimization and execution of manual test scripts which need to be scalable, highly performant, maintainable and meet high quality standards.
• Participate in peer reviews of manual test scripts to ensure adherence to testing standards.
• Produce individual test plans, QA status reports and review of UAT test results.
• Support and maintain the defect management process working closely with development, support and vendors.
• Adhere to and support standard QA procedures and methodology.
• Development of testing best practices.
• Work closely with members of the Test team, Development team, Business Analysis, Business stakeholders, Project Management team.
• Communicate and report on assigned tasks to QA Lead/Manager and PM.
• Take responsibility and exhibit ownership of assigned tasks.

About You

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences or related field.
• ISTQB Software Testing Foundation Certification Level preferred.
• 5+ years of experience of QA/Testing in a Financial Services led company as part and occasionally leading a manual/automation/performance QA Testing team.
• Experience working with Temenos T24 Core banking platform.
• Experience in Treasury areas such as Forex, Money Market, NDF, Netting, Securities, Cash Management, and Sweeps, with good knowledge of Accounting Entries, is essential.
• Experience in payments areas such as ISO20022, SWIFT, SEPA, Instant Payments, FXALL and Knowledge of Pac’s messages, MX and MT messages, CBPR+ is preferred.
• Experience with the following applications/tools: JIRA, Xray and Confluence.
• Knowledge and experience in automating test cases.
• Strong background in QA processes, the Software Development Lifecycle and methodologies.
