Vickerstock are pleased to be partnering with one of Ireland's biggest main contractors to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a landmark mixed use development in Dublin 8.

The role offers a salary up to €110,000+, a €10,000 vehicle allowance, a performance bonus, pension matching, 21 days leave and hybrid working. You will lead monthly valuations, manage cash flow, oversee subcontractors, and mentor junior commercial staff on a project valued over €100 million.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role (main contractor preferred).
• Experience on residential and/or commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Chartered or working towards SCSI chartership.
• Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly interim and final valuations, applications for payment and cost reconciliations.
• Monitor project cash flow and maintain accurate commercial forecasts.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier accounts, including procurement and placement of subcontract packages.
• Review contract documentation and identify contractual or commercial risks.
• Prepare, submitting and agreeing interim and final valuations with client representatives.
• Coordinate with estimating, procurement and planning teams to ensure accurate quantity take-offs and commercial information.
• Manage subcontractor variations, contractual delays and associated records.
• Prepare and agree final accounts for completed sections of the works.
• Provide commercial reporting and maintain accurate cost information throughout the project.
• Mentor Quantity Surveyors, Assistant Quantity Surveyors and junior staff.

The successful candidate will join the commercial team on a major development in Dublin 8, valued in excess of €100 million. The scheme comprises a substantial residential and commercial development, including a landmark high-rise apartment tower, multiple residential blocks, commercial office space, retail and associated amenities.

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Chartered or working towards chartership with the SCSI.
• Excellent commercial awareness, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong IT skills and proficiency with relevant commercial software.
