Job summary

Access Talent Group is seeking a Senior Estimator in Ireland's Leinster region to prepare accurate, competitive tender submissions for small to mid-size projects. The role collaborates with directors, design teams and procurement to deliver winning tenders and drive value engineering.

Applicants should have a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, 7+ years in estimating, strong commercial awareness of Irish construction methods, and proficiency in estimating software and MS

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and submission of detailed tender submissions.
• Prepare cost estimates and advise on procurement strategies.
• Analyse tender/ contract documents and identify risks and opportunities.
• Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates and industry trends.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries, negotiations and evaluate quotations.
• Propose value engineering and support tender handovers to delivery team.

Job description

As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for small to mid-size projects. You will work closely with directors, design teams, project managers and supply chain partners to develop winning tender submissions while identifying opportunities for value engineering and innovation.

The Senior Estimator will bring technical expertise, sound commercial judgement, and a deep understanding of construction processes to support competitive, compliant, and well‑structured tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and submission of detailed tender submissions
• Prepare cost estimates and advise on procurement strategies
• Analyse tender/ contract documents and Identify risks and opportunities within
• Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market rates and industry trends
• Manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries, negotiations and evaluate quotations.
• Propose value engineering and support tender handovers to delivery team.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in an estimating role within the construction industry
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Strong commercial awareness & understanding of Irish construction methods, contracts and procurement
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tenders
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office
• Good communication skills including presentations and ability to negotiate and persuade others
• Full driving licence
• Experience with Design & Build and traditional procurement projects
