Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Senior Estimator to join a leading main contractor based in Dublin. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years' estimating experience with a main building contractor in Ireland or the UK, with strong local market knowledge.

The role covers tender management from receipt to submission, coordination with the tender team, value engineering, cost planning, and client liaison. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Construction related degree required.
• 10+ years’ experience estimating for a main building contractor or similar.
• Must have experience working in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Manage the tender from receipt, through to submission and post tender queries.
• Liaise with and manage the internal and external tender team
• Mark up enquiries to be sent out to the supply chain, organise Bills Of Quantities production and obtain material quotes where necessary
• Evaluate returned quotations from supply chain and liaise with supply chain member to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements
• Prepare and evaluate risk and opportunity
• Arrange and prepare commercial documents for Tender Handover meetings
• Review supply chain performance quarterly
• Attend pre-qualification, mid tender and post tender interviews
• Visit sites to obtain feedback
• Prepare cost plans, feasibility studies and liaise with Clients

Senior Estimator

Senior Estimator required for a leading Main Contractor to work out of their Dublin office. The successful Senior Estimator will be responsible for a range of projects across various sectors. The ideal candidate will have 10 years’ experience estimating with a main building contractor in Ireland or the UK, with a strong preference for local market experience.

Duties:

• Manage the tender from receipt, through to submission and post tender queries.
