Job summary

Fruition Group Ireland is seeking an experienced Senior Python Software Engineer to lead complex technical initiatives and steer architectural direction. You will contribute to scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions across backend, frontend, and cloud-based systems.

You will mentor engineers, own API design, drive CI/CD pipelines in AWS, and collaborate with product, design, QA, and operations to deliver end-to-end features.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering, including senior/lead experience.
• Strong backend experience with Python and modern frameworks (FastAPI/Flask/Django).
• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience deploying cloud-native or serverless apps in AWS.
• Proven API design, data modeling, and scalable distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex software across backend, frontend, and cloud systems.
• Drive architectural improvements for scalability, resilience, and performance.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative actions.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve technical issues spanning systems and delivery.
• Mentor engineers on coding standards and problem-solving.
• Contribute to design reviews and guide long-term engineering decisions.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve capability and delivery efficiency.
• Partner with product, design, QA, and operations for end-to-end features.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
• Influence improvements in tooling, deployment practices, and engineering standards.
