Job summary

Broadridge seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join the Securities-Based Lending engineering team in Dublin. You will craft cloud-native, scalable solutions spanning UI, REST APIs, backend services, and cloud infrastructure.

The role emphasizes modern full-stack development with Python, AWS, and Java, within an Agile team. Hybrid working model offered, with collaboration across Product, QA, UX and Engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years commercial software engineering experience with Python and FastAPI.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot; design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Frontend experience with Angular or React; strong JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 knowledge.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Experience using Git and version control workflows.
• Cloud-native development on AWS (ECS, Lambda, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Experience automated testing (unit/integration/API) in CI/CD environments.
• Experience in Agile Scrum teams.
• Additional desirable: Flask, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Nomad, Helm, OpenAPI, OAuth2/JWT; financial services domain.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications for Broadridge's SBL platform.
• Build scalable backend services with Python/Java and API-first architectures.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Deliver cloud-native apps on AWS with DevOps and IaC practices.
• Participate in architecture discussions and design reviews.
• Write clean, well-tested code and perform peer reviews.
• Create and maintain automated tests and robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, UX, and Engineering teams; mentor junior engineers.
