Job summary

Stelfox Tech Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to join a Dublin-based engineering team on a long-term contract. You will design and build scalable backend services, APIs, and systems that support key strategic initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years of Python development, strong SQL, and experience with Flask or Django within Agile delivery teams. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and continuous improvement are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial Python development experience
• Strong SQL and relational database expertise
• Strong experience with Flask and/or Django
• Experience building and supporting RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and development tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and Artifactory
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining high-quality Python applications and services
• Collaborating with Product Owners, UX teams, Architects, and Software Engineers
• Designing scalable REST APIs and backend solutions
• Translating business requirements into effective technical solutions
• Troubleshooting performance issues and improving system reliability
• Participating in code reviews and mentoring junior developers where required
• Driving continuous improvements across development and deployment processes
