Fruition Group Ireland in Dublin is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join a Dublin-based team on a permanent basis. The role operates in a hybrid model with 2 days per week on site and focuses on Python and AWS serverless technologies.

Design, develop, test, and maintain secure backend software that is scalable, with ownership of features from design to production. Collaboration across engineering, product, architecture, and security teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including object-oriented design, testing practices, typing, and maintainable service design.
• Experience building and operating cloud services within AWS environments.
• Expertise with AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and CloudFront.
• Experience using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience designing backend capabilities including APIs, secure storage solutions, analytics services, and workflow integrations.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, test, and maintain secure backend software applications that are reliable and scalable.
• Ownership of complex features from design through to production release.
• Collaboration with engineers, product managers, architects, designers, QA, security, and data teams to help deliver solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions while contributing to ideas that will improve overall performance.
• Contribute to technical decision-making in cloud-native and serverless environments.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and promote engineering best practices across the wider group.
• Mentor fellow engineers through code reviews, pair programming, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
