Job summary

Atrium (EMEA) is seeking a Senior Python Developer and Data Analyst for a Dublin-based hybrid contract role. You will join a team of data scientists and analysts building pricing algorithms and rules for the pricing engine.

The role focuses on developing Python/SQL logic, expanding test automation, and managing code releases while documenting the logic. Candidates must be based in Ireland and eligible to work there.

Contract Role – Senior Python Developer and Data Analyst– Dublin/Hybrid

We're looking for Senior Data Analyst and Python Developer for a contract role asap. Preference with someone with strong Python, SQL and analyzing data set experience.

Role Overview:

• Job Title: Senior Python Developer and Data Analyst
• Location: Dublin/Hybrid

(Candidates must have the legal right to work in Ireland and be currently based in Ireland)

About the Role:

You will join a team of data scientists and data analysts who are responsible for building the pricing engine on our pricing platform. We build the algorithms that find the optimal combination of prices to achieve multiple targets, given multiple constraints and uncertain future outcomes.

As a Python Developer, you will apply your expertise and skills to develop more business rules in our Pricing Engine, expand our test automation, oversee our code management for releases and document the logic. You will be integrated as part of the team and get exposure to the data science work the team is working on.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop logic using Python and SQL in our Pricing Engine to apply business rules and create automated tests.
• Oversee management of Pricing Engine code through lower environments including merges and branch management.
• Explore, analyze and interpret large datasets to identify patterns, trends and anomalies.
• Collaborate with the team and partners to solve problems.
• Document logic in the Pricing Engine.
• Ensure quality in design and coding outputs.
• Work independently and with focus when needed.
• Work within the solution delivery methods and standards set out.

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, data science, computer science or a related field.
• A high standard of programming experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience with data analysis and problem solving.
• Experience with production system change delivery methods and techniques including. experience working with the Agile delivery framework, deployment practices, version control and testing practices.
• Experience with Github and code management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to data science processes and techniques is a bonus.
• Experience with Azure analytics solutions.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerization.
• Masters degree or PhD in a technical field (e.g. computer science, science, engineering, math, statistics, physics etc.).
