Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment is partnering with a leading healthcare and technology organisation in Ireland to hire a Senior Data Analyst / Python Developer. You will join a team developing a sophisticated Pricing Engine and collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Analysts and Engineers to deliver production solutions.

In this role you will translate business requirements into Python and SQL logic, develop and test new pricing rules, and support controlled delivery of code across environments.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst / Python Developer to join a team responsible for developing and maintaining a sophisticated Pricing Engine.

The Pricing Engine uses data, algorithms and business rules to determine the optimal combination of prices while balancing multiple business objectives, constraints and uncertain future outcomes.

In this role, you will sit at the intersection of data analysis, Python development and production technology. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into robust Python and SQL logic, developing and testing new business rules within the Pricing Engine, and supporting the controlled delivery of code through development and lower environments.

You'll work closely with Data Scientists, Data Analysts and wider business/technology stakeholders, giving you the opportunity to contribute to production systems while developing your understanding of more advanced data science and optimisation methodologies.

• Proven experience working with large and complex datasets.

Production Software Development

• Experience working with production systems and controlled software change processes.
• Practical experience with Git/GitHub, including branching, merging and code management.

• Experience working within an Agile delivery environment.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle practices.
• Ability to work within established engineering, coding and delivery standards.

Education
