Lead Python Engineer with AWS – Contract – Dublin/Hybrid – market rate

Market Rate

Requirements

• Professional experience in Python development
• Strong proficiency in backend frameworks and technologies (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Flask), including API design and optimization.
• System design expertise, knowledge of software architecture. Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures API gateways, and inter-service communication
• Strong profficiency in integrating data comming from multiple sources in multiple way (xlsx, pdf, csv, jason) and saving them into a common data model
• Managing less senior team members (from tech perspective)
• Advanced knowledge of shell scripting (e.g., Bash), with the ability to automate tasks and manage operation system level tasks.
• Solid understanding of operating systems (Linux/Unix), including process management, basic networking, and integration with the application layer.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex system and application issues.
• Strong commitment to test automation, including robust unit testing
• Experience working in agile teams on complex, high-stakes applications
• Collaborative mindset, with a commitment to code reviews and peer learning
• Comfortable working with teams across the globe.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)

Additional, preferred skills:

• Finance domain expertise (ideally Payments, Treasury)
