HRM Search Partners partnered with a global leader in business intelligence and data solutions to hire a Senior Software Engineer for an ambitious, high-impact initiative. You will join an Agile engineering team responsible for two major big data initiatives, delivering production Python-on-AWS code and operating at scale.

The role emphasizes cross-team leadership, reliability, performance, and security, with mentorship of engineers and clear design docs and RFCs.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering with production systems in Python on AWS.
Experience designing and scaling high-load platforms and services.
Ability to articulate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven influence across teams via RFCs, architecture forums or shared libraries.
Commitment to mentoring engineers and growing junior staff.
Excellent written communication for design docs and postmortems.

Responsibilities

Provide cross-team technical leadership across engineering, product, and data analytics.
Own domain reliability, performance, cost efficiency, and security.
Raise engineering standards for design reviews, API contracts, testing, and operability.
Deliver production code addressing complex architecture and prototypes.
Mentor mid-level engineers toward senior roles and contribute to technical strategy.
