Job summary

OneMarketData is seeking a seasoned Lead Python Implementation Engineer to lead architecture, customization, and deployment of our OneTick-based financial products across AWS-hosted and client environments.

You will design large-scale ETL frameworks, optimize distributed deployments, and act as a trusted technical advisor to clients while mentoring junior engineers and influencing the product roadmap.

Qualifications

• Expert-level Python with 5+ years of experience in large-scale ETL/pipeline development.
• 3+ years of data engineering experience, preferably with financial time-series data.
• AWS, Kubernetes, and Airflow experience is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and performance optimization.
• Excellent client-facing skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Prior team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience collaborating across teams and improving cross-team processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, customization, and deployment of OneTick-based solutions for high-profile clients.
• Design advanced ETL frameworks and oversee performance tuning.
• Serve as a technical advisor to clients, guiding integration strategy and best practices.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, reviewing code and solutions.
• Coordinate with product development to influence the roadmap based on client needs.
• Troubleshoot high-complexity issues across distributed, containerized systems.
• Work with onetick py – proprietary Python library built on top of our core product.
• Drive the group of developers within the team and support leadership with the establishment of processes.
