Job summary

Archer Recruitment is seeking a Senior Python Developer for a long-term contract in Ireland. You will build and evolve a cloud-native SaaS platform, delivering secure, scalable backend services with Python, Django and SQL. The role offers 2/3 days on-site per month with remote-first flexibility and strong engineering collaboration.

You’ll have 6+ years of Python experience, strong backend and Linux skills, and work within a fast-growing SaaS/AI environment with global financial institutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years Python experience.
• Strong Python development experience building scalable backend applications.
• Strong experience working within Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and shape key components of a cloud-based SaaS platform and influence their design and delivery.
• Design and develop secure, high-performance backend services and APIs using Python.
• Collaborate with Business and Technical teams to shape solutions and prototype ideas quickly.
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle from development to deployment and ongoing optimisation.
