Job summary

TTM Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Senior Psychologist to provide high-quality, evidence-based psychological services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities in Kerry. The role emphasizes person-centred care, staff training, and service development within a multidisciplinary context.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Educational or Counselling Psychology.
  • Eligibility for PSI registration and DoH validation.
  • Experience with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions.
  • Deliver person-centred supports for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams with families, staff and external services.
  • Deliver training and supervision to staff and reflect on practice.
  • Lead on complex cases and develop service improvements.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, statistics and waiting lists.
  • Contribute to staff development and team leadership.
  • Travel across service locations as required.

Job description

Senior Psychologist Permanent Full-Time | Kerry

We are seeking an experienced Senior Psychologist to provide high-quality, evidence-based and person-centred psychological services to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The successful candidate will support individuals presenting with behaviours of concern, mental health needs, resilience development requirements and dementia, while also contributing to staff training, reflective practice and service development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Deliver person-centred psychological supports adapted to the needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Work collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary teams, alongside families, staff and external services.
  • Deliver training and facilitate reflective practice to develop staff skills and confidence.
  • Support teams in managing complex situations using appropriate therapeutic frameworks.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, statistics and waiting lists.
  • Demonstrate clinical leadership and contribute to positive team working.
  • Identify and develop proposals for additional resources and service improvements.
Essential Requirements
  • Recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Educational or Counselling Psychology.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and validation by the Department of Health and Children.
  • Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience delivering training and providing supervision.
  • Full manual driving licence.

The role may involve travel across multiple service locations. Flexibility is required in line with service needs. The successful candidate must comply with relevant confidentiality, health and safety, professional and organisational standards.
