Job summary

St John of God Community Services CLG, Kerry Services in Ireland is seeking a Senior Psychologist to be based in Beaufort, County Kerry, in partnership with Direct Medics.

The successful candidate will support the development and delivery of effective, person-centred psychological and compassion-focused support for children and adults with an intellectual disability. The role is permanent, full-time (35 hrs pw) with the option for 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Educational or Counselling Psychology.
• Eligibility for PSI registration; validated by the Department of Health.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disability.
• Experience in multidisciplinary team working.
• Ability to deliver training and provide supervision.
• Full licence for a manual vehicle.
• Right to work in Ireland without VISA sponsorship.

Job Description

As such, Direct Medics are working in partnership with St John of God services to find an experienced and dedicated Senior Psychologist who will be based in Beaufort, County Kerry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of effective, efficient and person – centred psychological and compassion focused support for children and adults with an intellectual disability.

This role is required on a permanent basis which follows the current HSE pay & pension guidelines. Full time hours are required (35 hrs pw) with the option for 2 days remote.

Requirements

• A recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Educational or Counselling Psychology
• Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and is validated by the Department of Health and Children
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disability
• Experience in multidisciplinary team working
• Ability to deliver training and provide supervision
• Full licence for a manual vehicle
• Right to work in Ireland without VISA sponsorship
