Job summary

JJ Rhatigan & Company in Dublin is recruiting a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a prestigious main contractor and manage cost control, procurement, and value engineering on multi-million-euro projects.

The role covers cash flow, tendering, and subcontract administration, with opportunities to work on high-profile schemes. A technical degree and 5+ years with a main contractor are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Construction Industry is essential for this role.
• Third level Degree is required.
• Minimum of 5 years+ experience with a Main Contractor in Ireland or the UK on €/£10m+ projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cash flow for the project based on the Contract Programme.
• Prepare cash flow for the Project based on JJR’s Target Programme.
• Remeasure trade packages as required to identify quantity errors and tender accuracy.
• Prepare Tender enquiry packages liaising with Contracts Manager and Project Manager.
• Select Subcontractors from JJR database to tender work elements.
• Create and use Procurement tracker aligned with Target Programme.
• Carry out tender analysis to ensure compliant, fully priced tenders.
• Assess alternative materials and obtain tender estimates with Subcontractors.
• Carry out value engineering appraisals coordinating with Design Team and Employer.
• Compile a short list of Subcontractors and review their tender.
• Check Subcontractors have adequate insurances, safety statements, and compliance documents.
