Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Project Planner to support multi-disciplinary project delivery, coordinating planning, scheduling and control processes. You will provide clear, fact-based guidance to management and escalate risks to the Lead Planner as required.

The role emphasizes developing fully integrated schedules, reporting progress, and working with the Main Contractor to align timelines with commercial budgets. A strong planning background is essential.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
• 5+ years’ experience developing and implementing project plans.
• Must be capable of producing project plans from design and commercial information.
• Microsoft Project or P6 and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction schedule based on high level target schedule and WBS received from Project Manager.
• Lead Planning Phase meetings and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Monitor progress and report weekly Look Ahead and progress to stakeholders.
• Review contract documentation to highlight schedule and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate labour loading and develop S-Curve analyses for progress tracking.
• Escalate risks to Lead Planner and Planning & Risk Manager when needed.
