Job summary

King & Moffatt Building Services is seeking a Project Planner to establish and maintain planning controls across multiple projects in the Dublin region. You will develop master schedules, integrate trade contractor programmes and produce weekly/monthly dashboards for stakeholders.

The role requires a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree, strong experience with MS Project and Primavera P6, and excellent communication to coordinate with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Previous experience as an M&E Planner on high-end residential or commercial building services projects.
• MS Project is essential.
• Experience in construction planning for Mechanical/Electrical Building Services contracting is essential.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail with ability to produce reports.
• Strong relationship-building with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create master baseline schedule in Primavera P6 or MS Project per procedures and client specs.
• Develop schedules for design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
• Integrate trade contractor schedules into company schedule hierarchy.
• Communicate scheduling and project controls to project team and client.
• Manage progress reporting and dashboard/report production.
• Develop commissioning programme and KPIs; support change management and EOT assessments.
• Mentor junior staff and provide training.

Job Description

As a Project Planner at King and Moffatt, you would be responsible for establishing and maintaining project planning controls and accurate reporting acrossmultiple projects.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Create a master baseline schedule in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project software as per the company procedures, industry best practice and client specifications.
• Using schedule hierarchy, create schedules for project delivery and communicate these to the project team.
• Create separate and integrated templates and model programmes for three stages being Pre-construction, construction and commissioning.
• Create detailed schedules covering design, procurement, installation and close out.
• Incorporate the trade contractors’ schedules into the Company schedule hierarchy.
• Communicate the scheduling and project controls matters to all members of the project team, which includes the Company, the client, the design team, and the trade contractors.
• Manage progress reporting and integration of progress information into the company’s progress reports.
• Create and monitor KPIs and production of weekly/monthly dashboards and reports.
• Engage in the change management process to determine the impact of change on the programme.
• Create and manage the commissioning programme.
• Develop commissioning KPI’s and reporting regime.
• Prepare time impact analyses to support extension of time claims.
• Evaluate extension of time claims from trade contractors.
• Mentor and provide training to junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in either Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Previous experience working as an M&E Planner ideally on High End residential or commerical building services projects.
• Previous experience using MS Project is essential.
• Experience working in construction planning in Mechanical/Electrical Building Services contracting is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail with the ability to produce reports.
• Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to converse with clients and stakeholders at ease.
• Ability to work to own directive and stick to strict timeline schedules.
