Job summary

King and Moffatt is seeking a Project Planner to establish and maintain project planning controls across multiple projects within our building services division in Ireland. You will create master baseline schedules in Primavera P6 or MS Project, integrate trade contractor timelines, manage progress reporting, KPIs and dashboards, and support change and commissioning programs.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, proven experience in construction

Responsibilities

• Create a master baseline schedule in Primavera P6 or MS Project per procedures and client specs.
• Develop and communicate schedules for project delivery using schedule hierarchy.
• Create templates/model programs for pre-construction, construction and commissioning stages.
• Incorporate trade contractors' schedules into the company schedule hierarchy.
• Manage progress reporting and integrate progress data into progress reports.
• Create and monitor KPIs and weekly/monthly dashboards and reports.
• Lead change management to assess impact on programme and commissioning programme.
• Mentor junior staff and provide training.

Job Description

As a Project Planner at King and Moffatt, you would be responsible for establishing and maintaining project planning controls and accurate reporting acrossmultiple projects.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Create a master baseline schedule in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project software as per the company procedures, industry best practice and client specifications.
• Using schedule hierarchy, create schedules for project delivery and communicate these to the project team.
• Create separate and integrated templates and model programmes for three stages being Pre-construction, construction and commissioning.
• Create detailed schedules covering design, procurement, installation and close out.
• Incorporate the trade contractors’ schedules into the Company schedule hierarchy.
• Communicate the scheduling and project controls matters to all members of the project team, which includes the Company, the client, the design team, and the trade contractors.
• Manage progress reporting and integration of progress information into the company’s progress reports.
• Create and monitor KPIs and production of weekly/monthly dashboards and reports.
• Engage in the change management process to determine the impact of change on the programme.
• Create and manage the commissioning programme.
• Develop commissioning KPI’s and reporting regime.
• Prepare time impact analyses to support extension of time claims.
• Evaluate extension of time claims from trade contractors.
• Mentor and provide training to junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in either Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Previous experience working as an M&E Planner ideally on High End residential or commerical building services projects.
• Previous experience using MS Project is essential.
• Experience working in construction planning in Mechanical/Electrical Building Services contracting is essential.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail with the ability to produce reports.
• Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to converse with clients and stakeholders at ease.
• Ability to work to own directive and stick to strict timeline schedules.
