Job summary

The National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead procurement, delivery and operation of major government infrastructure projects. The role requires senior professional leadership, strong contract experience and the ability to engage with government departments and agencies across sectors.

Qualifications

• Third level degree (or equivalent) in construction, engineering, quantity surveying, project management, architecture or building services related discipline.
• Chartered membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.
• Project management qualification is desirable.
• Knowledge of climate change/sustainability, environmental, social and governance factors on large scale building projects.
• Knowledge of lifecycle stages, governance and approvals for public infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing a project management team delivering services to client Government Departments and Agencies.
• Creating and maintaining stakeholder relationships with internal and external stakeholders and maintaining good project governance structures including chairing project team meetings and representing the NDFA at key project meetings.
• Developing strong relationships with counterparties and ensuring the integrity and reputation of the NTMA/NDFA.
• Project management through the design, planning, procurement and construction phases of large-scale public capital projects.
• Implementation of robust climate action/sustainability strategies and oversight of scheme design and planning processes to ensure high sustainable development standards.
• Preparing high quality reports, recommendations, board papers and presentations.
• Monitoring and reporting of project risks and control measures including costs, change control, programme, health and safety and quality.
• Procurement and management of external advisors.
• Providing support and advice to Government Departments and Agencies in delivering on their wider capital investment priorities.
