Job summary

Noel Group is seeking an experienced electrical building services engineer to lead projects from concept to completion in Ireland. You will manage design delivery, stakeholder engagement and technical quality throughout the project lifecycle, combining hands-on engineering, project leadership and mentoring responsibilities.

This role offers exposure to multidisciplinary teams and the opportunity to deliver sustainable, energy-efficient building services design across a diverse project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience within building services consultancy or a similar engineering environment.
• Strong technical expertise in power distribution, lighting, emergency and fire alarm systems, ICT infrastructure and renewables.
• Experience delivering projects through design, tender, construction and handover stages.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and project management capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from concept through to completion.
• Develop innovative and energy-efficient engineering solutions.
• Prepare and review electrical calculations, specifications, reports and tender documentation.
• Coordinate project deliverables to meet programme, quality and budget objectives.
• Work closely with clients, architects, structural engineers, contractors and specialist consultants.
• Provide technical leadership during design, construction and commissioning phases.
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the team.
• Monitor site installations and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with design intent.
• Promote best practice in sustainability, energy efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with ISO management systems and project governance requirements.

This role offers the opportunity to lead projects from concept through to completion, working alongside multidisciplinary teams and contributing to technically challenging and energy-efficient building services designs.

The Role

You will take ownership of electrical building services projects, managing design delivery, stakeholder engagement and technical quality throughout the project lifecycle. The position combines hands-on engineering, project leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
