Job summary

Elk Recruitment is seeking a Senior Project Architect/Associate in Dublin to lead the delivery of residential projects from concept to completion. You will manage projects autonomously, mentor junior staff, and coordinate design teams, consultants and contractors.

The role requires strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, RIAI stages, and extensive site presence to resolve issues and ensure successful delivery. You will be the main client contact and drive coordination across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Qualified as an Architect or Architectural Technologist (or industry-related equivalent/experience).
• 15+ years post-qualification experience.
• Experience delivering residential projects in Ireland (housing/apartments/duplex).
• Strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and construction detailing.
• Experience taking projects through all RIAI stages to completion.
• Extensive site experience, attending construction and resolving technical issues.
• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Revit is essential.
• Strong detailing and coordination.
• Experience with Irish developers, consultants and contractors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

• Attend site regularly, resolve construction issues and support successful project delivery.
• Ensure projects comply with Irish Building Regulations, BCAR requirements and relevant planning conditions.

Requirements:

• Qualification as an Architect or Architectural Technologist (or industry-related equivalent/experience)
• Significant post-qualification experience (15+ years).
• Demonstrable experience delivering residential projects in Ireland, including housing, apartment and/or duplex developments.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of Irish Building Regulations and construction detailing.
• Experience taking projects through all RIAI stages to completion.
• Extensive site experience, including attendance during construction and resolving technical issues on live projects.
• The ability to work independently, make informed technical decisions and hit the ground running.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Autodesk Revit proficiency.
• Strong technical detailing and coordination skills.
• Experience working directly with Irish developers, consultants and contractors.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
