Across product lines and geographies, we focus on three diversified pillars: reinsurance, specialty and bespoke solutions. We are truly diversified. Our long-standing partnerships with capital providers and quota share partners make us nimble. Our breadth of expertise and capabilities deliver outstanding market returns.

The role

We are looking for a Procurement & Vendor Management Specialist to join a hands-on team supporting technology, professional services, information services and corporate suppliers.

You will support a broad range of procurement and vendor management activities, including supplier renewals, purchasing controls, purchase orders, commercial coordination, supplier onboarding and reporting.

This role would suit someone who is highly organised, comfortable working with financial and commercial information, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate and reliable records.

Key accountabilities
  • Manage software, data and service renewals, including renewal dates, notice periods, usage, quotations and stakeholder decisions.
  • Ensure renewal and commercial decisions are managed ahead of deadlines, allowing appropriate time to renegotiate, consolidate or exit arrangements.
  • Review procurement requests and quotations for completeness, commercial logic, coding, approvals and alignment with business requirements.
  • Create and maintain purchase orders, ensuring supplier records and supporting approvals remain accurate.
  • Reconcile contracts, budgets, purchase orders, commitments and invoices, investigating and resolving any exceptions.
  • Analyse supplier, spend, renewal and purchasing data using Excel and other reporting tools.
  • Support supplier onboarding, governance reviews, reassessments and offboarding by coordinating evidence, approvals and actions.
  • Negotiate routine pricing and commercial terms, escalating legal, risk or more complex commercial matters where appropriate.
  • Maintain clear and auditable records of decisions, approvals, savings, obligations and follow-up actions.
  • Work closely with business owners, suppliers and specialist teams to coordinate procurement and vendor management activity.
  • Support improvements to workflows, templates, reporting and data quality while maintaining appropriate controls.
Skills & experience
  • Commercial Judgement: An understanding of how demand, pricing, volume, contract terms and commitments can impact value and overall cost.
  • Financial & Purchase-to-Pay Knowledge: An understanding of how budgets, contracts, purchase orders, invoices, cost centres and financial commitments work together.
  • Excel & Data Analysis: Comfortable analysing and reconciling data using Excel, including XLOOKUP, pivot tables, filters, conditional logic and exception reporting.
  • Organisation & Delivery: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, stakeholders and priorities without losing accuracy.
  • Supplier & Stakeholder Communication: Confident communicating requirements, following up on actions, resolving issues and constructively challenging where required.
  • Control & Evidence Discipline: Good understanding of approvals, segregation of duties, audit trails and accurate record keeping.
  • Systems & Process Improvement: Comfortable learning new systems and identifying ways to simplify or improve recurring processes through practical automation, templates and reporting.
  • Experience within procurement, purchasing, commercial operations, vendor management, finance operations, contract administration or a similar environment.
  • Experience managing or supporting supplier renewals, purchase orders, invoices, quotations or supplier onboarding.
  • Exposure to software, SaaS, licences, subscriptions, data services or professional services would be beneficial.
  • Experience using an ERP or purchase-to-pay platform such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba or a similar system.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, with experience using functions such as XLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Experience within a regulated sector such as insurance, banking or financial services would be advantageous.
  • Power BI, Power Query or comparable data and reporting experience would be beneficial.
